Chris Preyor graduated from Clark Atlanta University in 1999 with a degree in Print Journalism. He was certified as a technical writer from Clemson University (online) in 2012. He is also a blogger, an author and screenwriter. Chris self-published a book entitled, “Simple Complexities” in 2007. The book was a compilation of essays written for his blog, “Dragon: 050376” that was aimed towards highlighting the commonalities that all people share, regardless of their race, gender, religion or age.
Chris has written, directed and produced four short films and twelve episodes of a web series entitled “Moments” which captures a moment in time when a person is living through a life experience, told from the first person perspective. His short film, “Open Wounds” was an official selection for the Gwinnett Center International Film Festival, July 2015, the Los Angeles Cinefest, August 2015 and an award winner at the Accolade Global Film Competition, September, 2015. His short film, “The Save” was an award winner at the IndieFest Film Awards, August 2016.
As a screenwriter Chris has been recognized in several script competitions and film festivals. His feature script, Missing Alice was selected for the Southern Storytellers multimedia web series, September 2017 and voted Top 75 in the Launch Pad Feature Competition 2018.
His short film script, Long Odds is a Finalist in the Hollywood International Moving Pictures Film Festival, August 2017 and a Finalist in the Barnstorm Film & TV Script Fest, September, 2017.
